Sisse Holst Pedersen is an Amsterdam based artist and designer from the north of Denmark. She studied at the Royal Academy in Denmark and Gerrit Rietveld Academie in the Netherlands, and has therefore a foot in both the art scene and the design field. through both educations she specialised in the field of ceramics, but recent collaborations have led her to explore other materials as well; such as latex, plaster, jesmonite, wax, wood and wool.
Sisse involves herself with themes concerning the ensouling of objects, rituals, spirituality and the honouring of basic daily life and our acts within it. The meeting between object and human is a continuous fascination of hers, that has led to several research projects, collaborations and aesthetic stagings.
